The Surface book i7 is ridiculously fast. So fast that it is more than twice as fast as the original Surface Book which itself blew away every other laptop in its day. Boasting a best in class battery life, the Surface Book i7 beats all other laptops that are tested against it for speed and battery life. The second iteration of Microsoft’s convertible laptop, the Surface Book i7 is perfectly proportioned at 13.5-inch tablet with PixelSense screen that has both touch and pen support. A discrete graphics chip is hidden in the keyboard base with two sides being held together by an industrial strength hinge found in the original Surface Book.
The dynamic fulcrum hinge was rumored to be eliminated but it is still there and remains one of the most prominent features of the Surface Book i7. Although identical in looks to the previous iteration with the same PixelSense screen IPS panel with 3000x2000 resolution, the internal specs boasts an Intel dual-core 6th-gen Skylake Core i7-6600U, is paired with an solid state drive (SSD) from 256GB to 1TB and 8GB – 16GB LPDDR3 options. The only disappointment stems from Microsoft using an older processor for the CPU instead of Intel’s 7th-gen Kaby Lake CPU.
The Surface Book i7 also comes with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 965M chip with 2GB of GDDR5 Ram which makes the GPU both far faster and far hotter. Microsoft combatted this by adding a second fan to keep it cool at the cost of larger air vents and a thicker Performance Base than the original model.
There has been some rumors about how MacBook Pro, the well-known Apple Laptops, has a laptop RAM capacity of 16GB. It turns out that these rumors are true and the Laptop Hardware does not need it. Apple is not concerned with it, instead they are proud to announce this as an achievement to their state of the art electronics. On the other hand, computer experts are stating that RAM requires a lot of power and creates lots of heat; this can be a disadvantage for laptops because some of the great features of having a laptop is first of all you want it to last as long as possible, and on the other hand you don’t want your laptop to overheat as this can cause damage to the system and to the person who is using the laptop. Especially if they are placing the laptop in the lap when using it. The second reason why a MacBook Pro does not need more than 16GB is because 16GB is plenty on its own.
Laptop Ram acts as a scratch book for computers where the computer saves all the data that is being used currently by the user in order to create a pleasant and fast experience for the user. In the past decade or two the prices for Ram went down exponentially making it very simple today to own up to 32GB of RAM easily. The price of the RAM went down to $5/ 1GB RAM. RAM is also designed to start clearing some of the data that is not being used clearing more memory for thermal load. more information to be stored. Having a limit of 16 GB RAM allows Apple to make their systems smaller and lighter, and on top of all is to increase the power life by reducing.
Here at ASAP Semiconductor we are proud to be a global electronics distributor at which we have created a platform online where we deal with Computer hardware parts at ASAP IT Technology.
The Snapdragon 821, which is being used in mobile head mounted displays such as headrests and other devices, is being envisioned by Qualcomm as well as other smartphones and tablets.
“Building on the technology leadership introduced with the Snapdragon 820 platform, the 821 is engineered to deliver faster speed, improved power savings, and greater application performance, ensuring 821 powered devices keep pace with the growing performance demands of users to deliver the unmatched user experiences the Snapdragon 800 tier is known for.”
According to the company, by the second half of 2016 the Snapdragon 821’s first commercial devices should be on the market by then. This will not only increase sales for all of Samsung devices but broaden the expectations of the new technology provided by the company. Other phones that feature the same platform, include the Xiaomi Mi5, LG G5, HTC 10, LeEco LeMa 2, and the Sony Xperia X. These will all eventually upgrade as well.
The 820 platform will be followed by the Snapdragon with no surprise at all. Some of the features that have been promised include having at least a 10 percent performance increase, with the core CPU reaching a speed of 2.4GHz. Some of the expectations of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor will include extra performance to be able to handle mobile virtual reality displays (VR).
There is underwater mobile phone camera ability, as well as the Snapdragon 820 being included in the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge and all of Samsung Galaxy smartphones.
As it was initially previewed earlier this year, Dell UP3017Q launched an amazing 30 inch 4k monitor. It is very thin, and has a beveled shape coming in at only half an inch on the edges. At a resolution of 3840 x 2160 this monitor holds 146 Pixels per inch. Initially this product had a release date on March but wasn’t able to make it since there was no product. There still is not a new launch date because of the company still fixing the final issues.
The specs are quite spectacular as a matter of fact, even though it is still not known who the manufacturer is it will most likely be LG. There is a resolution of up to 3840 x 2160, and a refresh rate of up to 120z. Another feature of this product is that it is OLED, which means its Organic Light Emitting Diode will allow the monitor to deliver true black and excellent colors in a very thin profile. This feature doesn’t need a separate backlight because the pixels themselves leave out light. Dell claims that this monitor fully supports all of the Adobe RGB and 97.8 % DCI-P3 color spaces. This is a 10-bit color monitor which would be the most useful in professional settings where color accuracy is very important.
Dell has placed a “pixel shifting algorithm” by placing a sensor on the monitor that can tell when someone is looking at it and be able to turn it off when no one is watching. They also claim that there are five buttons for the monitor while one on the back releases it from its stand.
A fortune 500 company in China, Xiaomi, which normally sells household items such as rice cookers and air purifiers, has entered the laptop market. Its Mi Notebook Air comes in two sizes, 12.5 and a larger mother ship model.
“The Chinese market for consumer notebooks is expected to contract by 10.4 percent this year, according to Bryan Ma, IDC’s vice president for devices research.”
The company is entering at a time where the laptop market is expected to drop 10.4 percent within just this year, according to Bryan Ma.
The announcement of the laptop happened when they launched a brand new phone, Redmi Pro, a dual rear-camera OLED phone. The company badly needed to launch a new product since their sales declined since the beginning of the year.
The company created a group of products under them called the “Mi Ecosystem” which will allow the younger crowd of teens to keep following their products that go along with their electronics such as Tv’s, to match throughout the household.
The key features of the 13.3-inch Mi Notebook Air are a Nvidia GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics card, Intel Core i5 processor, 256GB PCIe SSD with expandable SATA SSD slot, 8GB DDR4 RAM and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The devices come in gold and silver colors.
The products go on sale in China next week, but with no plans to sell outside of the US. The company has had its sights on the U.S. market for some time, but is nervous about a standard strategy for established players to keep rivals out of the U.S. market.
Although Microsoft has recently agreed to transfer patens to Xiaomi, it also involved the bundling of Microsoft Office and Skype on their phones and tablets as well. Many consumers would even describe them as apple like, as well as their phone users who critique their product.

In addition, he is also on the board of the account software startup, Xero, along with being on the advisory board of the cloud software startup, VMTurbo. Veghte’s role will be taken over by Antonio Neri, who has been managing HP’s enterprise group when Veghte was working on the split. Working at Hewlett-Packard for 20 years, Neri ran the company’s server business and will serve as the vice president and general manager.
In addition to Veghte, other Hewlett-Packard executives will be leaving the company as well. The announcement of the company’s split last October, also brought the former executive vice president of HP’s Enterprise Systems division, Dave Donatelli, to leave the company in April and join Oracle. The announcements seem to have had effect on Hewlett-Packard’s stock, as shares fell 1.2 percent to $29.61 at 11:09 a.m. in New York. The stock was down 25 percent this year through Monday.

Headquartered in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France, the Thales Group is a multinational company with footholds in multiple platforms including the aerospace, defense, security, and transportation sectors. Named after the Greek god Thales who was known for his innovation, the goal of this group is to create tools using state-of-the-art technology that will help their customers create a safer world.
One of these tools is the TopOwl Helmet-Mounted Sight and Display (HMSD), which has become the most advanced helmet on the market for helicopter crews. Its I2T technology (Image Intensifier Tubes) and high-definition capability allows the pilots to switch between a variety of light intensifications and vision modes while at the same time being able to see layered flight or weapon symbols. In a nutshell, the helmet will give the pilot a virtual representation of the world around the helicopter, even in difficult weather. Using information from integrated databases, GPS data, and TopOwl’s accurate Pilot’s Line of Sight (LoS) measurement, the synthetic view is generated in real time and superimposed on the actual terrain vision. Having already proved its worthiness on the battlefields in Afghanistan and Libya, the TopOwl helmet will only keep increasing mission success rates.
The TopOwl HMSD has been in full-scale production since April 2012. To date, over 1,000 systems have been delivered throughout 16 nations. In July 2012, the helmet was selected by the Organization for Joint Armaments Cooperation (OCCAR) for flight testing onboard the A400M prototype, a four-engine turboprop military transport helicopter. The tests are scheduled to take place between June 2012 and April 2013 and hope to verify that the military helicopters can use the HSMD during night missions.

Cray Inc., an American supercomputer and big data storage manufacturer, enjoyed double-digit gains in stock shares for most of the calendar year 2014. In 2013, Cray Inc. reported an annual revenue of USD$520 million, and exceeded its estimated revenue for 2014. In the 4th quarter of 2014 particularly, an acceptance process was installed and completed on more supercomputers than in any other quarter so far in history, subsequently breaking both quarterly and annual revenue records. Because of this, for the full year of 2014, Cray Inc. generated over USD$600 million in revenue.
Cray Inc.’s revenue growth has significantly exceeded the industry average of 2.8%. On average, the company is enjoying a gross profit margin of 43.88% and also has a debt-to-equity ratio of zero, considered very favorable. However, it can be noted that return on equity has decreased and net operating cash flow has also decreased when compared to previous years.
Since its inception as Cray Research Inc. in 1972 by computer designer Seymour Cray, the company, now Cray Inc., generates in excess of USD$420 million in annual revenue on average. In past years, the growth has been significantly higher. The company, at 900+ employees currently, is still considered a mid-cap company that is publicly traded on the NASDAQ. The company, which went bankrupt in 1995 and was later acquired by SGI the following year, reached its final state when Tera Computer Company bought out Cray Research Inc. from SGI in 2000 and adopted its name.
The company has focused on silicon graphics in the 1990s-2000s, several entry-level supercomputers in the early 2000s, and hybrid supercomputers in more recent years. The company made its initial breakthrough into the computer market in the 1970s with several revolutionary ideas, starting with the introduction of the first Cray-1 system, which was installed at Los Alamos National Laboratory and cost USD$8.8 million. The computer operated at 160 million floating-point operations per second (8 megaflops), which at the time was a world-record speed. In the decades to come, Cray Inc. would continue to innovate the industry.
