Seiko Epson Corporation is a manufacturer of computer printers, information and imaging related equipment. More commonly known as Epson, it is one of the core companies of the Seiko Group. The Seiko group name is traditionally known for manufacturing timepieces. Headquartered in Suwa, Nagano, Japan the company operates multiple subsidiaries and manufacturers. Their product line includes inkjet, dot matrix and laser printers, scanners, desktop computers, business, multimedia and home theatre projectors, industrial automation equipment, point of sale docket printers and cash registers, laptops, integrated circuits, and LCD components. The first printer manufactured by Seiko Group was based off of the EP-101. A printing timer developed to be the official time keeping device for the 1964 summer Olympics.
